Shield & Shamrock
A Catholic Fellowship for Families and Adults of All Ages
Rooted in Scripture, tradition, and the life of the Church, Shield & Shamrock is a community of shared meals, steady friendship, and a faith meant to be lived together.
A Community for Faithful Catholics
Shield & Shamrock is a Catholic fellowship for those who desire to live the faith fully and faithfully as it has been received through the Church. We are rooted in Scripture, tradition, and a shared commitment to grow in holiness together.
Our life together is simple: shared meals, Scripture study, seasonal celebrations, and works of service that help friendships take root over time.
We welcome families and adults at every stage of life who are looking for a community grounded in truth and lived in charity.
Our Gatherings
The life of Shield & Shamrock is built around a simple rhythm: a monthly event where people can gather and get to know one another, a weekly Bible study that keeps us rooted and connected, and seasonal celebrations that make the year feel rich and alive.
Shamrock Socials
Each month we gather for a Shamrock Social, an event designed to be welcoming, relaxed, and easy to step into. These events have something for everyone and include cookouts, outdoor movie nights, and celebrating the feasts and traditions of the Church. Shamrock Socials are a great way to meet people so bring the family and prepare for fun and fellowship. All are welcome!
Shamrock Studies
We gather on Mondays at 5:00 PM for Scripture, conversation, and shared learning rooted in the life of the Church. We use the Ignatius Catholic Study Bible. We are currently working our way through the Deuterocanonical books. Please feel free to join us at any point, we will post in the bulletin when we are starting a new study, but we are happy to catch you up.
Throughout the year, our Shamrock Socials follow the rhythm of the Church: simple gatherings, shared meals, and time together.
Yearly Service Projects
Alongside fellowship and study, we also want to serve the parish and wider community in meaningful ways each year. These shared works of service give us practical ways to show hospitality, gratitude, and Christian charity together. Beyond these standing opportunities to serve, we also encourage our members to assist at Mass, engage in charity with other ministries, and serve as sponsors for those planning to enter the Church through OCIA.
High Tea for the Mothers of the Parish
In May, we host a high tea for the mothers of the parish as a way of honoring their love, sacrifice, and faithful presence in family and parish life.
Goodie Bags for First Responders
In October, in honor of St. Michael the Archangel, we prepare and deliver goodie bags for local firefighters, police officers, and first responders as a gesture of gratitude and prayerful support.
Baby Showers for Mothers in the Group
As new babies arrive, we continuously celebrate and support the mothers in our own community through baby showers, practical help, and joyful welcome.
Meal Trains for Those in Need
When members of the group or broader parish walk through illness, recovery, a new baby, loss, or a difficult season, we organize and share meal trains as a simple and practical way to help.
