Gala Premiere Screening of Father Ryan: A Higher Call
The Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul in conjunction with the Diocese of Knoxville is proud to announce the gala premiere screening of Father Ryan: A Higher Call, a film on the life of Servant of God Father Patrick Ryan. During the yellow fever epidemic of 1878, Father Ryan stayed in Chattanooga to tend to the sick and dying when most residents fled. He gave his life to serve those in need. The film premiere will take place at Notre Dame High School in Chattanooga on Saturday, April 15, at 7:30 p.m. A VIP champagne reception will begin at 6:30 p.m. General admission seating begins at 7 p.m. Ticket sales ($5-$30) will help defray the cost of the Cause for the Beatification and Canonization of the Servant of God, Father Patrick Ryan.
